The StaTact workshop for the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) in Mexico was held on July 13 and 18, 2022. The workshop was attended by 17 participants from the General Directorate of Sociodemographic Statistics, the General Directorate of Economic Statistics and the Directorate for the Improvement of the Management of Sociodemographic Statistics. The general objective of this workshop was to develop and analyze a measurement problem through the StaTact tool. The chosen measurement problem was about the acquisition of computer equipment for the technological renewal of INEGI.
At the end of the workshop, a survey of the satisfaction and quality of the workshop was carried out, where 82% of the participants stated that they had met the objectives of the workshop. 72% found StaTact as an effective tool to address measurement problems and 70% as a relevant tool to address missing data or measurement issues.
As the next steps, it was agreed that INEGI would evaluate the relevance of integrating the StaTact tool in their processes to improve the management of statistical production.
